Scarlett Johansson in talks to lead new Jurassic World movie Reportly to the Hollywood journalist, the two- time Oscar nominated actor Marvelco-star Chris Pratt with a starring role in the rearmost installation of the dinosaur franchise. Pratt led 2015 movie Jurassic World and the last of which brought back original stars Sam Neill and Laura Dern. It made over$ 1bn worldwide.

The new film will be directed by G.Edwards, whose recent film The Creator starred John David Washington and was nominated for two Oscars. Edwards has also directed 2014’s Godzilla and 2016’ movie Rogue One. The script comes from David Koepp, who wrote the script for the 1993 original Jurassic Park. The reboot, which is awaited to concentrate on an entirely new set of characters, was firstly set to be directed by ball Train’s David Leitch but he left the project back in February.

The film is formerly dated for summer 2025 so production is aiming to start soon. Other movies set to premiere that season include Superman Legacy and Mission insolvable 8. Johansson most lately starred in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and North Star, a comedy directed by Kristin Scott Thomas, which premiered at last year’s Toronto film celebration. It has to find a US distributor.
The actor will next be seen alongside Channing Tatum in an unidentified romantic comedy set during the 1960s space race. She’ll also head up the television series remake of the legal thriller Just Beget which will be written by recent Oscar- winner Cord Jefferson following on from his American fantasy success. In total, all Jurassic pictures have made over$ 6bn in total worldwide box office.
